Example : 1.) open a DOS window 2.) CD over to TOMBRAID 3.) type HEXEDIT 4.) press the spacebar 5.) press F3 6.) type in the filename savegave.10 { your savegame might have a different number } 7.) start at top of your selected savegame in this Hexedit session. 8.) follow the 01 02 E8 03 codes that slant from right to left down the columns. 01 02 E8 03 might wrap around on you. Use the arrow keys to follow. (don't go by the hex address over there on the left) as you adventure, this number increases. 9.) WHEN you get to the LAST 01 02 E8 03 grouping, stop ! 10.) count from the 03 in E8 03 to the right, 7, two number groups. ** use the arrow keys to move the blinking cursor, just type the letters. ** 11.) changing the contents to DD will give you 214 small medipaks. 12.) count ONE more group (to eight from 03 in E8 03) and this is the Large medipak count. 13.) changing the contents to DD will give you 214 Large medipaks. 14.) press and hold the Shift key, then press the F10 key. 15.) answer Yes (y) and then press Enter to save the changes to the same savegame.10 16.) exit the DOS window and run Tomb Raider. Enjoy !!

This IS the small medipak count, changing the contents to DD will give you 214 small medipaks. certainly enough to get to the next puzzle ! ;o) count ONE more group (to eight from 03 in E8 03) and this is the Large medipak count. as before changing this value to DD will give you 214 Large medipaks. Example A: The E8 03 is the level `sync code' indicating the starting location of the variables stored at the time and each Level you `saved your game'. Its the variables stored, that determines just where Lara is placed upon your Return to Tomb Raider and what Lara is carrying, and of course the surrounding Environment. The FF here in this example indicates that Lara is carrying ALL the weapons. The locations (variables stored) between E8 03 and FF are Level variables, except the Flares and Medipaks count are stored here for each level.
